Will Thwaites: “My goal with Crime & Parody is to create a film that functions like a Trojan horse. The humor and suspense at the beginning are designed to draw audiences in, but ultimately, the aim is to leave viewers thinking about important social issues. I want the film to be both entertaining and hard-hitting — a blend of a premium streaming documentary and a traditional social issue doc. In doing so, I hope to reach an audience that might not typically seek out documentaries centered on social justice.”
